Revelstoke RBC staff write grant to support women’s shelter

Community minded staff at Revelstoke’s branch of the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) took things into their own hands to donate to our Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser, raising money to provide free counselling in Revelstoke.

Vanessa (pictured far left) took advantage of an internal grant RBC offers, writing an application to get RBC to donate $1,500 from their Community Together Fund.

To get this grant, RBC six staff have to provide four unpaid volunteer hours each at the event, which we really appreciate. This is their third year participating. In the past they have used this grant to do other things in the community including sweeping the local skatepark and painting the inside of the women’s shelter.
