Marina Rachinski is an art therapist with over 600 hours of yoga psychology training who supports individuals in cultivating healing, embodiment, resilience, and self-discovery. She integrates art therapy, creative practices, breathwork, meditation, and body-based approaches to help clients process trauma, navigate life transitions, and reconnect with their resources and inner strengths.
Art therapy is a non-verbal, experiential approach that allows people to stay grounded in the here-and-now while processing emotions, memories, and experiences that may be difficult to put into words. It helps navigate defenses, soothe the nervous system, and support healing in a gentle, approachable way. Clients are invited to share as much or as little as they wish about their art, their process, and their life after or during creative expression. No previous art experience is necessary. Art therapy isn’t about making “good art” it’s about tapping into the creative aspect of the self.
Marina is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and passionate about creating space where clients can be their full authentic selves and explore their experiences without judgment. She believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship: we can get hurt in relationship, and we can heal in relationship. She holds a nuanced understanding of the social and cultural pressures that affect women and non-binary individuals and is honoured to be offering services through the Revelstoke Women’s Shelter.
She offers individual, dyad, family, and group sessions, tailoring each session to the needs of the person or people in front of her. Her work fosters self-awareness, restoration, and practical strategies for enhancing well-being, supporting clients in reclaiming their power, pleasure, and agency.
