Coldest Night of the Year
Annual Fundraiser
We’re aiming to raise $35,000 to fund our community counselling program.
What counselling program?
For the last few years we’ve been running a free counselling program in the Revelstoke community that anyone can access; women, men, youth, couples, trans, non-binary. We have three professional counsellors and we offer up to ten sessions.
Demand for this program is going up every year as more people hear about and utilise this valuable service.
It’s important to the Revelstoke community because it helps looks after people here. By offering free sessions, it reduces barriers for people that need help. Individuals who may otherwise be hesitant to try therapy, have nothing to lose by trying it out. Ten sessions means there is consistency and time to work on any issues, or just to be heard. Why donate?
By donating you support a program that for some people, may be life-changing. It strengthens our community by offering healthy pathways for people navigating their emotions or trauma.
For this fundraiser, we are raising money through the Blue Sea Foundation’s fundraising platform, which is the Coldest Night of the Year. At other times of the year, donations can be made directly to the shelter through the link on our website.
